AI is transforming everything but without access and upskilling, a new form of inequality is brewing. AI is expected to create 20-50 million new jobs by 2030 according to a report by McKinsey and Company. Now imagine most of them going to countries and communities with early access to AI tools, education, and infrastructure. What happens to the rest of the communities that lack the access?

This is the silent crisis unfolding across many parts of Africa and the developing world. Without intervention, AI won’t just widen the digital divide, it’ll deepen economic and opportunity gaps. We stand the risk of having a generation of job-ready youths but for jobs they were never trained for, creating a costly wave of educators and workers whose skills are years behind the future that has already arrived.

Bloom Academy For AI (BAFAI) was created to interrupt this brewing tragedy:
Our vision is simple: Make AI literacy and skills affordable, accessible, and applicable. Our Track 1 courses open the door to AI introduction/foundational modules, while Track 2 takes you into real world applications of AI tools and readiness to be gainfully upskilled. BAFAI gives you the ability to tackle targeted projects that require integration of AI tools and technology, at foundational and intermediate levels.

The Global South doesn’t only need to catch up, it needs to gainfully benefit at the global table.
